The Pheasant is a charming old Coaching Inn situated close to Bassenthwaite Lake at the unspoilt, northern end of the Lake District. The 13 individually decorated bedrooms have been sympathetically and completely refurbished to the highest standard. Three suite type rooms have been created offering extra space and a comfortable sitting area within the bedroom. We also have two double en-suite rooms in the Garden Lodge. The new bathrooms are considered to be amongst the best available and have both bath and a powerful shower. Beautiful fabrics and antique pieces combine to maintain that unique atmosphere. Tea trays are provided, although we of course still offer an early morning tea service. Telephones have been installed and portable televisions can be made available on request. |

The Manor House is a gentleman Farmer's house dating from the early 18th Century, set in 8 acres of it's own land in the village of Oughterside on the North Western Edge of the Lake District, and only 5 miles from Cockermouth. Our ensuite rooms (with baths and showers) are extremely spacious, furnished with kingsize beds and lots of little luxuries to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All rooms command splendid views over open countryside towards Skiddaw and the mountains of the Lake District. Graysonside is a former farmhouse providing Bed and Breakfast, a small Caravan and Camping Site overlooking the Lorton Valley fells and Self Catering Accommodation in a recently converted stone barn. We are situated at the North end of the Lake Distict National Park approx 1 mile South of Cockermouth which is an ideal centre for walking, touring and cycling the northern and western areas of this beautiful part of the country. The house is within the Lake Distict National Park and is set in 32 acres. Meadow and woodland walks have been created through areas of de-cultivated land, which has been allowed to regenerate naturally to re-establish wildlife. Regular visitors include a Barn Owl, Red Squirrel, Buzzard, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Heron. Accommodation in the Farmhouse consists of a Four poster En-suite room and Twin En-suite room. Accommodation in the recently converted adjoining barn comprises of 3 Double En-suite rooms. All rooms are spacious, centrally heated and have Tea and Coffee making facilities, a Colour Television, hair dryer and shaver point. Graysonside has 4 twin/double en-suite rooms which are ground floor. All rooms come with wireless internet available at no extra cost. Vegetarians catered for. |

This unique and spacious Grade 2 Star Georgian town house is perfectly located on one of the oldest streets in Cockermouth, Cumbria. This historic market town is the birthplace of poet William Wordsworth, and lies on the fringes of the Lake District National Park. Recent refurbishment of the guest house has retained many original features and lots of character. Six Castlegate is an ideal bed and breakfast for tourists, business people and regular visitors to the area; which includes the coastal towns of Workington, Whitehaven and Maryport. Each ensuite room has been refurbished to a high standard. All guest bedrooms retain their own individual characteristics, making each stay memorable. The apartment is South facing with views of the Lorton Valley fells, has a pleasant patio area with BBQ facilities and a lawned area to the south side. There is double glazing throughout and thermostatically controlled radiators to each room. The Kitchen is fully fitted with ample storage, electric cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and sufficient place settings for the two guests and any occasional visitors The Lounge Area has two sofas, coffee table, colour television and a DVD player, the bedroom has a double bed and the En-suite is fitted with a large shower, hair dryer and shaver point. |

| Our self catering holiday accommodation is situated in the grounds of the Hotel and is completely self-contained with all modern amenities. Guests can enjoy their independence but may take advantage of the excellent facilities provided by the hotel. There is ample parking in the grounds and well behaved dogs are most welcome. Both flats have lovely views over the lake and fells and are well furnished. Melbreak is a first floor flat accommodating two people. Mosser is two bedroomed ground floor flat accommodating four to five people. The kitchens have cooker, fridge freezer and microwave. Heating is by electric storage heaters and bed linen and electricity is included in the charge. The flats have access to the hotel grounds where guests can enjoy the beautiful views over the fells and lake, a truly peaceful setting. |
