Crake Valley is a small family run holiday park close to the picturesque holiday village of Coniston, with a maximum of ten static holiday caravans and five timber lodges all maintained in first class condition and set in lovely surroundings with a large variety of birds and wildlife. The park is situated in an elevated position across from Coniston Water, which is only a short walk away, sheltered on three sides by mature oak trees, with views across to the Coniston Old Man mountain and surrounding fells, the park opens onto Blawith Common, which is an extensive area of wild and craggy moorland where you can wander at will, with lovely walks to Beacon Tarn and Torver. It is an ideal base for touring the lakes, with all visitor attractions within easy reach, but a car is advisable to get the most of your holiday. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. A lovely 1 bedroom cosy 26ft caravan originally built for German gypsy travellers (not horse drawn) now converted into a static. Refurbished to a high standard & spotlessly clean. The bedroom is very elegant with a full size double bed in the centre with a good quality mattress and white and gold headboard, panel heater and wall lights each side of the bed made to suite any loving couple. The kitchenette area comprises of a gas hob, gas oven, electric fridge, electric water heater, microwave oven, electric kettle and electric toaster. The lounge has a nice coal effect fire with fan heater, colour TV & DVD player combined and coffee table. We also have within the caravan a shower room and a flush toilet. All bedding towels are supplied. The caravan occupies an enviable position having magnificant 250 degree views of the Duddon Estuary & Coniston Mountain range which can be enjoyed from all the windows and the patio garden. This Gypsy style caravan would ideally suit newly-weds on honeymoon or a couple celebrating their anniversay or someone looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. New Ing is positioned on Wainwright's coast to coast and the Westmoreland Way, and is easily accessible for the Eastern Fells of the Lake District, The Howgills and The Pennines. New Ing Farm was a working farm up until the late 1980's but as far as records can be found, it has also been a Coach House/ Guest House since 1820. We have camping facilities for up to 12 hrs per night. Camping is £4 pppn. Outdoor facilities only. Or £6 with use of the indoor facilities. There is an outside toilet and wash basin with showers situated on the 2nd floor of the Lodge. We also provide B&B and Dorm accommodation. |

We are within easy reach of Sca Fell and the nearby Lakes of Derwentwater, Ullswater and the majestic Lakeland scenery of Bassenthwaite and Braithwaite. It's just over a mile walk to the nearest eating place in the delightful Village of Threlkeld, and approximately 3 miles to the pretty market Town of Keswick. There are lots of walks from the site and a bus service passing us on a regular daily bases making it ease to get out and about for a long or short hike! We are located in the beautiful valley of St. John's-in-the-Vale about 1/2 a mile from the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle. The site is surrounded by an open bowl of hills, just right for relaxing and de-stressing in the idyllic setting, 'or' if you are more adventurous, we are ideally situated for walking, water sports, fishing, rock climbing, cycling, pony riding, golf, paragliding, and all the other attractions in the North Lakes. |

Easily reached by the motorway network, Woodclose Caravan Park is midway between the hills in the National Parks of the English Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales and the less famous but no less beautiful Howgill range. Private and secluded yet only an easy stroll from one of the most delightful market towns one could wish to find - Kirkby Lonsdale. Here we can only offer a little taste or two of the wonderful variety of the area. The Caravan Park was started over thirty years ago providing a unique holiday base for static vans, tents and tourers in the Lune Valley. It is well established and very much a part of the local scene. Spreading over nine acres and in a privileged location in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are two excellent toilet facilities, including showers. No charge is made for hot water. Hair dryers for the ladies are available for a small charge. There is a laundry room with tumble dryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Electric hook ups for tourers. Calor Gas, fresh milk and other produce is available from the site shop. There is a play area reserved for children. Dogs are allowed provided that they are kept under close control and are exercised off the Park at all times. |

Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park, which is personally managed by the proprietor Peter Newton, is situated in a delightfully secluded setting on the outskirts of Newby Bridge within easy walking distance of Lake Windermere. The Park covers some 25 acres, parts of which are completely undeveloped and form a natural habitat for many forms of wildlife including rabbits, red squirrel and deer. Caravans are individually sited amongst trees and shrubs. Pitches are usually available for new Caravan Holiday Homes and virtually any make can be supplied. Caravan owners have the option of the standard season (March to October) or can elect to have the extended season which lasts up to the middle of January. Delivery, siting, insurance and credit if required can all be arranged through the Park Office. Sorry, we do not cater for campers (tents). |

We are situated in some of the finest scenery in The Lake District and offer a perfect base to explore the local area. Scarr Head is a small working farm at the foot of the Coniston mountains and just 2 miles South of Coniston village, where there is a good range of shops, hotels and restaurants. Hawkshead, Ambleside, Bowness & Windermere are easily accessible by car but if it’s peace and quiet you are looking for we are the perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, either on foot, by car or even on horseback. Torver has two village pubs. Both have restaurant facilities and are within 10 minutes walking distance of the farm. There are a number of spectacular walks straight out of the farmyard, such as Walna Scarr, Coniston “Old Man” and a lower level walk to Beacon Tarn. The West Cumbrian coast holds many jewels including Muncaster Castle and the narrow guage railway which runs from Ravenglass to Eskdale. There are three permanent, modern caravans, sleeping 2 - 4. All have spacious accommodation, which includes: Bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin Galley style kitchen with gas cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, electric kettle Comfortable lounge with gas fire, colour TV and dining area Bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, cupboard space, mirrors and shaver points. (2 cots available) Fitted carpets, and quality furnishings Mains electricity (240V), drainage and sewerage. Fuel costs and hot water included in the hire charge. On site there is a small laundry room with spin dryer, large sink, indoor drying line and ironing board (no iron). Equipment includes: Crockery, Cutlery, Cooking utensils, Pillows, Blankets, Duvets with covers. Please bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels and teatowels. Please note that all caravans are non-smoking. There is an area for tents and up to 5 touring caravans or camper vans. Facilities include: Standpipe water tap, dishwasher drain, Elsan disposal point, flush toilets, hot water, shower, shaver and hairdryer points. Booking Conditions: Pets: Dogs are accepted strictly by arrangement and provided they are well behaved. Under no circumstances may a dog be left alone in a caravan or tent. No fires must be lit anywhere on site. |

Older children may enjoy our small games room, which has a pool table and various arcade machines. This is not a commercial park. There are no discos or 'manufactured' entertainments. It is thoughtfully designed to blend with the country and appeal to the visitor wishing to enjoy the tranquil and breathtaking beauty of the Lake District.
