We are only 15 minutes drive from the market town of Cockermouth and ideally situated for exploring the Western Lakes of Loweswater, Crummock, Buttermere, Ennerdale and Wastwater. There are daily buses and trains to service all your local transport needs. Shore Walk has two en-suite bedrooms, both with views over the Solway Firth towards the Scottish hills. A very comfortable guests' lounge with TV, books, magazines and games is available, and if you require internet access, the house is equipped with a wireless router. The dining room may be used for your evening takeaway meal if you wish. In the morning we will fill your flask, and if there is anything else you need we'll do our very best to help. Directly opposite Black Combe House, there is the village green and in front of the house, ample parking space. We have a non-smoking policy, and pets are not allowed in Black Combe House. However your dog may sleep in the car on our private and safe forecourt. Black Combe House is only 5 minutes from the beach, the golf club, an equestrian centre , nature reserve and beautiful countryside. Here, where the mountains do reach down and touch the sea and time passes wonderfully slowly.  |
