Rowrah with its famous cumbria racing track is just 10 minutes away. We are just 15 minutes drive from the Lake District and all the famous landmarks, walks, fells and lake district towns. From here landscapes and cloudscapes merge to present views of an assembly of some of Lakeland's scenic masterpieces. Glenard Guest House |
| This large Victorian house is set in it's own grounds with a large garden. Built in 1882 by a local merchant as a private house, it still has almost all its original features. There are no ensuite rooms as we feel feel this would spoil the character of the house. It is set in the elegant Georgian town of Whitehaven, with links from the past, to Rum, Sugar and the slave trade. All our bedrooms benefit from full central heating. Each room has been individually decorated to the highest standard and incorporates a blend of quality beds and tastefully coordinated soft furnishings. To make your stay more enjoyable, each room is equipped with colour T.V, tea and coffee facilities and alarm clock. |
