1, Park Road 1 Park Road is set in a quiet residential area of Windermere just a short stroll from the centre of Windermere and Bowness. Mary and Philip Burton have perfected this Les Routiers award winning bed and breakfast, to offer all the little extras discerning guests have come to expect from a small luxury guest house.
The luxury bedrooms have King sized comfortable beds to snuggle into.
The family room has two single beds and a travelling cot as well as books, crayons and pencils from the Keswick Pencil Puzzles factory.
DVD, CD players and Ipod docking stations are standard in each room as well as full en-suite facilities. There is wireless broadband, so you can check your emails and access the internet, all free of charge. Cafetieres of fresh coffee and milk and a variety of teas are available in each bedroom.
Food is locally sourced for breakfast and dinner, which is served at weekends and occasionally during the week. As well as our freshly cooked English breakfast using award winning sausages and free range eggs, there is a comprehensive range of other breakfast favourites: fresh fruit, yoghurts, smoothies and specialties such as Omelette Arnold Bennett and kippers. Evening meals are wholesome with menus changing each week, with a wide choice for vegetarians and people with special diets, such as gluten free dishes.
1 Park Road is also available as self catering for large parties over the Christmas break and suitable for a meeting venue for small groups who want time out, maybe with their partners or for business meetings.

Crook Hall Farm (Crook village near Windernere)

Crook Hall is a family owned beef and sheep farm in the Lake District National Park. The farmhouse is an inspected and approved property with 'Nationwide Bed and Breakfast'.

The History of Crook Hall
The farm stands on the site of a much earlier medieval farm (Thwatterden Hall). In later times the legendary Philipson family lived here for over 200 years: one of whom was knighted by King Charles II. An illegitimate son of the same King owned the property at one time.
