YHA Duddon Estuary is situated on the waterfront with wonderful panoramic views. On a clear day England's highest mountains can be seen from the hostel windows. There are many attractions around the Duddon Estuary and it is just a short trip to the Lake District National Park - the biggest of England's National Parks, much loved for the variety and contrast of its landscapes.

Lake District Backpackers Lodge
Lake District Backpackers Lodge

Our small forecourt sitting area leads to the front door. There have been some memorable gatherings here on warm summer nights, as travellers tales are told.
This is where the world gets regularly put to rights by those who should be running it . . . and maybe someday will be!
Atmosphere we have, and it starts right here.
The crack (or the craik, even) can be mighty, as the night closes in.
Cosy, that's us. A bit of vibrant decor, plus some real comfort in our bedrooms, with comfy mattresses, crisp cotton sheets and a snug duvet all supplied. Lockers for your gear and hot showers.
Watch Sky TV. The self catering kitchen`s next door with free hot drinks. Learn about beautiful Lakeland in dozens of info brochures, eat your fish and chips from just down the road. A game of chess, maybe, or just read your novel. Get a party together perhaps, or join one, for one of our own unique activity days.
We are literally 2 minutes walk from:
