Old Kings Head Hotel

With a history spanning almost 400 years, the Old Kings Head can claim to be one of the oldest buildings in the unspoilt Charter Town of Broughton-in-Furness (Cumbrian Village of the Year 2002).
All our guest rooms have ensuite facilities (with the exception of the bunk room) with shower rooms fitted out to a high specification, and all are within the historic Old Kings Head Hotel building. The bedrooms are furnished individually with a mix of contemporary soft furnishings, beautiful antique or chunky pine furniture. Guests are provided with a number of services within the rooms including tea and coffee facilities and television.

The Greenhill Hotel (Nr. Wigton)

The Greenhill Hotel is a beautiful red sandstone Georgian mansion built in 1804 as a private residence and is set in nine acres of parkland. It offers a private and peaceful setting for a few days relaxation "away from it all" or perhaps a business meeting.
We offer 12 comfortable contemporary B&B guest rooms, all en-suite, with colour televisions, direct dial telephones and tea/coffee making facilities. Our rooms are available on a bed and breakfast (B&B) basis although it is possible to have Table d'Hote Dinner in our restaurant.
The Greenhill Hotel also well known in North Cumbria as a wonderful romantic wedding location, either for a civil ceremony or the wedding reception itself or even both. Private party celebrations can also be catered for here. Why not celebrate an engagement, wedding anniversary or birthday with us.
As well as comfortable guest accommodation, we also offer a range of services for business visitors. We have a couple of rooms with excellent facilities which can be booked for business meetings or our Function Suite can be booked to hold a conference of up to 400 delegates. We also offer fax, e-mail and secretarial services if required.

Our restaurant is rapidly gaining a great reputation locally for the quality of its food. Our menus are varied and interesting with something for everyone.
We have an extensive wine list with quality red and white wines from around the world, a selection of excellent champagne, as well as a selection of malt whiskies and spirits. We also offer a range of draught and bottled beers and lagers from our bar.
Why not pop in for a bar lunch with your friends and family? Our comfortable public bar is the perfect place for meeting friends and relaxing over lunch! We also offer morning coffee and afternoon tea in the bar everyday.

All bedrooms rooms are modern, spacious and en-suite, some with magnificent views overlooking the beautiful fells. The rooms are split over two floors. There is a lift for easy access. All have FREE Wi-Fi access.

Disabled Room:
This room has wide entrance, next to the emergency exit, and plenty room to manoeuvre a wheel chair. It has twin beds (can be made into a double if required). Excellent access to main doors, fire doors and the restaurant bar area. There is a ramp at the entrance to the building.
There is a bath with chair lift and support railings. Also a shower area for the more able.
Pet Policy
We appreciate that many visitors like to travel with their pets. We have a number of rooms on the ground floor where pets are welcome.
Meeting rooms:
We are in an ideal location to host meetings or conferences. The Shepherd's Hotel has a meeting room, with natural daylight, which is suitable for meetings from 2 to 50 people.
The Shepherds Restaurant is open daily from 7am until 9pm. We offer home cooked hot breakfast, lunch, dinner. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day in casual surroundings.

Broughton Craggs Hotel was originally built as a Gentleman's residence in 1858. It was converted to a hotel in 1975.
It has superb 3 star accommodation for all visitors. All our 14 en-suite bedrooms are spacious and bright and are equipped to a very high standard with telephones, colour TV's and tea/coffee making facilities.
Julie and Derek Horton have owned the hotel since the Spring of 2006 and during that period it has been through considerable refurbishment keeping the character of the beautiful building yet extending the services the family run hotel has to offer.
The hotel and restaurant have received many awards and head chef Gareth Williams provides an extensive restaurant and bar menu, all prepared from fresh local produce and with a variety to cater for all tastes. Any special dietry requirements can be catered for if advised upon arrival.
We also cater for Business visitors, offering conference facilities, telephone answering, and telefax.
