The Farmhouse consists of: Ground Floor - Utility room: with washing machine and tumble drier. Dining / Kitchen: with dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker fridge and freezer. Lounge: with easy seating, gas fire, digital TV, DVD plus CD player. Bedroom on ground floor: twin beds, digital TV, DVD player. Plus free Wi fi. Ground floor shower room with wash basin & electric shower (suitable for the elderly or people with limited mobility) First Floor Bath room with toilet wash basin bath and electric shower. 1st One single Bed Room. 2nd One double Plus one single Bed. 3rd King size plus three quart bed 4th One double bed - Plus single bed. Dickinson Place has been in the ownership of the Williamson family for over 300 years. Previously run as a dairy farm, the milking part of the business was moved and the original farm buildings were earmarked for development into holiday accommodation. Features like old oak beams have been retained in the design of the cottages to compliment the modern comforts which we have all come to expect. Set in a tranquil courtyard in the centre of Allonby village, with spacious off-road parking, these 6 charming cottages offer peace and quiet - yet are only yards away from the main thoroughfare. The beach and sea-banks are just across the road, and all amenities are within a very short walking distance. Allonby, the 'Jewel on the Solway Coast' is an ideal base for touring the Lake District as well as the Cumbrian coastline - a designated Area of outstanding natural beauty. If history is what you want then the City of Carlisle and the Roman Wall are also close at hand. Bed linen, heating & electric included in the price. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. Quiet Cottage stands only 150 yards of level walk to a children’s delight of three miles of safe sandy beach and dunes in the peaceful Cumbrian village of Haverigg. Here, this well equipped three bedroomed terraced self catering accommodation is an ideal holiday home for anyone looking for an away from it all break in one of the less crowded resorts of the region but within comfortable travelling distances of everything the Lake District and Cumbria has to offer. Quiet Cottage's first floor two double and one single bedrooms, bath, shower, toilet and washbasin together with a ground floor lounge, dining room and kitchen provides ample comfortable living space for up to five persons. The complete house is gas centrally heated plus an individual gas fire in the lounge where a television and music centre are provided. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances including an automatic washing machine. To the rear of Quiet Cottage, there is a garden, patio, conservatory, clothes drying area and safe secure parking for two cars or more and, bicycles. Additionally, Quiet Cottage offers accommodation on the Quiet Cottage Caravan site of five pitches for caravan or motor homes. The site, with easy access from the Millom-Haverigg main road is set on one and a quarter acres of level secluded grassland and overlooked by the fell of Black Combe, one of Cumbria’s best known landmarks and loved by many for it's not too difficult ascent and magnificent views from the 1075 feet summit. Electric hook-ups and mains water are provided. |

Seagull House is a modern holiday cottage, situated in the peaceful village of Port Haverigg, Cumbria. Whether you want a quiet holiday retreat or somewhere to walk and explore, Seagull House is the ideal base. Local pubs and shops can be found on our doorstep, as well as an attrative RSPB bird shelter for nature enthusiasts. Seagull House is owned and managed by ourselves; Kath and Alan Horton. The cottage can accommodate 4/5 people with two double bedrooms and a folding bed. A travel cot and a high chair are also supplied. Seagull House is designed over three levels with wood flooring and pine furnishings throughout. The entrance is via a private Courtyard with barbeque and garden furniture. The cottage's ground floor comprises a double bedroom, shower room (electric shower, wash basin, toilet), a living area, built-in storage and a washing machine. Open pine stairs lead to the middle level which is the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Both living rooms are equipped with freeview TV, a DVD player and a CD player. Books and games are also available for guests to use. The kitchen is fully equipped with solid beech worktops, fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, cooking utensils and tea towels. The patio doors open out onto the Sun balcony which has views over the river to the sea and the nearest fell: Black Combe. Stone steps lead down to the river frontage. More pine stairs lead to the spacious upper bedroom with en-suite facilities (bath, wash basin, toilet and shower cubicle) and a pine wardrobe. All bedlinen and bath towels are supplied, gas central heating and electricity is included in the price. There is also designated parking within the complex. |
