Bankfield hotel stands in its own 5 acres of grounds in beautiful countryside. The hotel is fully licensed and has a fine reputation for good wholesome cooking using as far as possible local meat fish and game, both for Bar and Restaurant meals. We are open all day for breakfast, morning coffees, lunch and afternoon teas, high teas and dinner. The traditional sunday lunch is a Bankfield speciality with many of our customers coming every week. The hotel is ideally situated to suit all outdoor pursuits being near to the coast, the lakes and the fells and is a very comfortable relaxing base for enjoying such a holiday. All bedrooms are ensuite. There is a comfortable lounge, bar, restaurant and large dining room. The standards of personal attention are what make Bankfield a favourite place for private functions such as dinner parties, wedding receptions and meetings. Bankfield House has 5 individually furnished bedrooms: One double four poster room with spa bath and walk in shower. Three family/twin rooms. One small double/single. All en suite with TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Electric heating so that you can adjust to your needs. |

Wayside Farm was built in approximately 1637 on the west coast of the Lake District, Cumbria. Wayside guest accommodation & Whisky Barn is situated at the base of Black Combe, surrounded by stunning scenery and the Cumbria coast. It is the perfect location for a relaxing weekend, or for the more adventurous we provide an excellent base for walking, hiking, mountain biking, wind surfing and after an exciting day out, why not relax with a cold glass of beer, good food or a warming single malt whisky. The accommodation has been carefully and tastefully renovated from a barn and has kept many original features. All four stylish bedrooms are ensuite and have got fabulous fittings. If you enjoy the outdoor life and walking then Black Combe is located directly behind the hotel with easy access. The hotel has secure storage, ideal for bikes, canoes and other equipment along with washing and drying facilities. Dogs are welcome in the Annexe by prior arrangement and at an additional charge. At Wayside you will always get a warm welcome from our friendly staff. We are a totally non-smoking establishment. |

In the quiet village of Kirksanton in southwest Cumbria, Black Combe House offers hearty breakfasts and comfortable rooms with rural views. There are 5 double rooms, 1 twin room, 1 single room and 1 family room with twin beds and bunk beds. All rooms have en-suite facilities, plus TV, DVD, hospitality tray, shaver plug and hair dryer. A very comfortable guests' lounge with TV, books, magazines and games is available, and if you require internet access, the house is equipped with a wireless router. The dining room may be used for your evening takeaway meal if you wish. In the morning we will fill your flask, and if there is anything else you need we'll do our very best to help. Directly opposite Black Combe House, there is the village green and in front of the house, ample parking space. We have a non-smoking policy, and pets are not allowed in Black Combe House. However your dog may sleep in the car on our private and safe forecourt. Black Combe House is only 5 minutes from the beach, the golf club, an equestrian centre , nature reserve and beautiful countryside. Here, where the mountains do reach down and touch the sea and time passes wonderfully slowly. |

Nestling in 26 acres of protected woodland, the Brockwood Hall Resort lies at the head of the Whicham Valley and overlooked by the magnificent Black Combe Fell. From here, it is just a few minutes from two of England's most beautiful beaches and towns which have remained unchanged for a hundred years. After a day out touring or walking the fells, relax in the comfort of your own Norwegian Lodge set in mature woodland and gardens. There are 5 styles of lodge to choose from, sleeping between 2 and 8 guests, some of which have integrated saunas. The lodges are designed to blend with the woodland setting. All lodges are triple glazed. Electric central heating and well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms are, of course, standard. All lodges are simply furnished and fully carpeted, all with ample wardrobe and cupboard space. Situated in the heart of Brockwood Hall grounds is our Leisure Centre, the centre piece of which is a large indoor swimming pool, heated throughout the year. There are numerous luxury holiday homes available for sale or hire, each with fully fitted bathrooms, kitchens, up to 3 double bedrooms, lounges and eating areas, and all available at surprisingly low prices. Adjacent to the park lies a 9 hole picturesque golf course which runs alongside the beach, a pony trekking centre is nearby and for the more energetic, there are tennis courts as well as an adventure playground in Silecroft village. At night one can enjoy the good food and traditional surroundings of the village's two country pubs, or travel the short distance to Broughton, a quaint town, where there is a good selection of quality restaurants. |
