This family run hotel is as close to the new marina as you can get without getting your feet wet!
The Waverley is one of the oldest buildings in Whitehaven; it was built by Captain Senhouse in the 1684, to be used as his personal house.

Alva House is a friendly family run Bed & Breakfast. Rooms are delightfully refurbished, spacious and well-equipped, en-suite facilities with Superb Fell Views.
The original Edwardian features have been lovingly restored.
It is situated on C2C cycle route & Coast to Coast path.

This large Victorian house is set in it's own grounds with a large garden.
Built in 1882 by a local merchant as a private house, it still has almost all its original features. There are no ensuite rooms as we feel feel this would spoil the character of the house. It is set in the elegant Georgian town of Whitehaven, with links from the past, to Rum, Sugar and the slave trade.
All our bedrooms benefit from full central heating. Each room has been individually decorated to the highest standard and incorporates a blend of quality beds and tastefully coordinated soft furnishings. To make your stay more enjoyable, each room is equipped with colour T.V, tea and coffee facilities and alarm clock.

Glenfield is a family run Guest House with Victorian style that provides friendly hospitality and a "home-from-home" atmosphere. The high quality has been recognised by the RAC with a 4 Diamond Guest Accommodation rating.
The delightfully refurbished rooms are spacious and well-equipped with full en-suite shower or bathrooms and many extras in all rooms.
Glenfield holds a full Resident's license and offers restaurant style evening meals selected from a menu that is designed to offer the best of home-cooked food including vegetarian, children's options and home-baked bread. All food is prepared from the best available produce, sourced locally whenever possible, and the meat, which is supplied by a local butcher, attracts particularly favourable comments.

We are a small comfortable B&B situated in the farming village of Moor Row. My parents lived here for 10 years and then in turn sold the house onto ourselves with the sole purpose of opening as a bed & breakfast.
Jasmine House is a beautiful property with breath taking views of the lake district fells.
We are situated in a good central location for all neighbouring towns, villages and local attractions.
Rowrah with its famous cumbria racing track is just 10 minutes away.
We are just 15 minutes drive from the Lake District and all the famous landmarks, walks, fells and lake district towns.
The Wainwright's coast to coast route is right outside our front gate and the c2c cycle way is right behind us.

The Bunk House may be booked to more than one party at any time.

Moresby Hall is one of Cumbria’s most historic homes. A Grade I listed building (circa 1620) offering stunning Country Guesthouse accommodation and retaining so many original features. This spacious Hall has been described as “one of the most important buildings in Cumbria” by English Heritage and “totally unique and welcoming” by so many guests.
The emphasis is on relaxation, superb quality and genuine hospitality.
Moresby Hall enjoys a semi-rural location with delightful walled gardens for guests to enjoy. It is situated only 2 miles from Whitehaven, a Georgian market and harbour town with its picturesque marina. Moresby Hall is the perfect venue to explore the Western Lake District.
The four individual bedrooms are all en-suite, beautifully appointed and superbly equipped. You will find soft fluffy towels and robes, top quality Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, a comprehensive beverage tray and the finest bed linens. Each bedroom has a well stocked “bar basket” if you want an extra nightcap on retiring. Each bedroom has a digital flat screen LCD colour TV with integrated freeview channels.
There is ample private parking and Moresby Hall is open all year.
This is a totally non-smoking residence though guests may smoke in the gardens and grounds. Fully licensed with a selection of reasonably priced beers, wines and spirits available.

A pair of self-contained cottages, converted from the original Moresby Hall farmhouse. Both are situated at the rear of Moresby Hall, in the oldest part of the property, thus retaining many original character features and dating from 1250 approx.
We take great pleasure in welcoming our guests, and maintain the properties personally to a high standard. Our properties are suitable for couples, families & friends, and colleagues on business, sporting or group activity interests. We do not accommodate Hen / Stag parties.
Brighida Cottage
Brighida Cottage sleeps up to 6 persons with 1 double room (en-suite shower, basin & toilet) and two further twin rooms*. There is an additional bathroom (bath, basin & toilet) dining kitchen and cosy lounge with a quality 3 piece suite.
Rosmerta Cottage
Rosmerta Cottage sleeps up to 4 persons with 1 double and 1 twin room*. We do not recommend Rosmerta for anyone who may not manage to ascend the (short) ancient spiral stone staircase. There is a bathroom (bath, over bath shower, basin & toilet) large dining kitchen and cosy lounge with beams, traditional furniture and quality 3 piece suite. Rosmerta can also accommodate up to 6 guests by utilising a twin en-suite room in Moresby Hall with the inter-connecting door – price then charged as 3 bedroom Brighida cottage.
Each cottage can be modified to offer an extra double room if required.
Both properties are centrally heated, spacious and attractive with co-ordinating décor throughout.
Parking is within the large outer courtyard.
