| Brandraw House is a late Victorian sandstone building, built in 1879. It has a large garden at the back of the house, many original features and spacious rooms. All guest rooms on the first floor with coffee and tea making facilities, a welcome tray and toiletries. Brandraw House offers en-suite or full en-suite facilities to all bedrooms and a high level of décor throughout. Log fires in breakfast/dining room and Guest Lounge offer a warm welcome to all. Panoramic views from the extensive garden to the fells beyond, including Skiddaw. Situated in northern area close to the Lake District National Park. | Fish Tales Cottage is a three bedroomed property - 2 double/twin rooms and a single, all with en-suite shower facilities. The guests have full use of the fully equipped kitchen and utility room and the studio/sitting room. The cottage is rented out on a self catering basis but breakfast can be cooked for you at a small additional charge. There is plenty of excellent 'pub grub' in the nearby vicinity. For breakfast we use only local products, free range eggs and bacon and Cumberland sausage from our local butcher who use only local bred animals. With prior notice we can provide a 'breakfast pack' which you can cook yourselves to save you running around at the last minute for supplies. Although we have a 'no pets' policy there is a boarding kennels in the village. |
